software & consulting for basin modeling, fractured reservoir modeling and reservoir simulation
Beicip Inc. provides software solutions and consulting services for basin modeling, fractured reservoir modeling and reservoir simulation.
The world’s petroleum and gas industry has been putting its trust in Beicip-Franlab for over 40 years. Beicip-Franlab is an independent wholly-owned subsidiary of IFP (French Petroleum Institute) specializing in petroleum consultancy and software. Beicip Inc., the North-American affiliate of Beicip-Franlab, benefits from 15 year work history in North America and a strong synergy with IFP and Beicip-Franlab.
Beicip Inc. is headquartered in Houston in Houston, Texas. We provide innovative technology for basin & reservoir modeling and reservoir simulation. We sell and support the full product line of the IFP for the U.S., Canada and Trinidad & Tobago.
Our local technical support, training and assistance team is dedicated to helping you take full benefit of our applications. We provide specialized technical assistance and consulting in the following domains:
- Petroleum system assessment
- Pre-drill pore pressure prediction
- Fractured reservoir evaluation and modeling
- Assisted history matching
In petroleum systems assessment, our solutions cover a complete range of application, from regional quantitative prospect assessment to pre-drill pore pressure prediction, as shown by recent achievements in the most challenging oil provinces.
Our solutions are Temis Suite (unique 1D/2D/3D integrated package with fully coupled parallel Darcy calculator), Qubs (uncertainty management and risk analysis) and Dionisos for stratrigraphic modeling.
Our clients are now routinely using our products and services from frontier area prospect evaluation to drilling cost optimization and associated commercial and technical risks quantification.
In reservoir engineering, our challenge is to offer you our new technology to more effectively focus on forecast while minimizing uncertainties. That’s to say understanding your reservoirs.
We will guide you towards the widespread use of our assisted history matching method aiming at reconciling a credible geological model with dynamic data.
We will add value to your own workflow to facilitate your key management decisions.
In 2007, we released a new generation software suite addressing E&P workflows from fractured reservoir characterization (FracaFlowTM ) to reservoir simulation (PumaFlowTM) in a workflow and dataflow oriented platform (OpenFlowTM ).
CondorFlowTM is the Assisted History Matching plug-in of the suite. It implements both reservoir and geological models in an optimization loop and therefore allows you to invert any parameter involved in the modeling process (variograms, distributions, cut-offs, classical reservoir model parameters ...). It is linked to Petrel and gOcad for geomodelers and Eclipse, CMG solutions, VIP and proprietary solutions for reservoir simulators. CondorFlowTM benefits from years of research through an IFP joint industrial project conducted with many national and international oil and gas companies. It includes the Gradual Deformations method which is a patented process that allows you to constrain geological models to production data while preserving the overall statistics.
