How long have you been in business?
Since 1983. Originally opened in Memorial City Mall under our full name, "THE FLOPPY WIZARD, Inc". In November of 1999 we moved to our current location about 3 miles North of the Mall on Gessner and we now use our initials (TFW Computers) since the word Floppy has become a more or less obsolete word in the computer world.
What is your primary product or service?
We custom build desktop computers and laptops, kill viruses, clean up/tune up PC's and transfer data from one's old computer to the new computer or media of their choice.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Hobby became my business. I am the owner, Gary Richardson. I was previously Regional Manager and Asstistant Vice President of Wilson's Catalog Showrooms. I operated the Southern Texas stores from Beaumont to Big Springs, Texas (about 17 stores). I have always been in Retailing since the time I was in the seventh grade. I love dealing with customers.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The level of service we give and the way we set up our systems as we would our own personal systems.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One only. No plans to expand. 31 years in business and no plans to retire any time soon.

We are about half way between I-10 and highway 290 at 2551 N. Gessner, Houston, Tx 77080.
What type of payments do you accept?
Most all major credit cards including American Express
Which areas do you service?
All of the Houston Metro area and surrounding communities. I, personally do our outside calls to homes and businesses.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Gary Richardson (me).
What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays for outside calls...cell phone is 713-628-9919.
