Texas Body Art offers excellent service for custom tattoo work, and we use state-of-the-art methods of sterilization. We are a fun and friendly business in a safe parking lot, attracting all the elite in Houston, featuring clients from the following:

Walk-ins are welcomed, but on our site, you can set up a consultation for an appointment on custom work. Pricing is $120.00 an hour on all custom work, and the shop minimum is 60.00.

What is your primary product or service?
Award winning tattoos and Piercing
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As a child I did alot of drawing and then when I got my first tattoo I knew it was what I wanted to pursue. In 1992 walked up to larry Shaws and was hired with no tattoo shop experience and learned alot of my fundamental points of approach to tattooing as the guys i was working with at the time. I tattooed walk ins for 6 years straight staying up at the studio for long hours and tattooing alot of people. Moved on to open Texas Body Art in 1998/1999 I was the only piercer and artist the first 3 weeks as I open and it grew into more customers and more artists. I eventualyy opened 2 other locations and stretched myself out to thin,so I decided to put all my energy into one spot 4 years ago.I never dreamed I would become the quality artist I am an only dreamed of being a top artist. I am 40 Now and I still have the fire inside to design and create and push the envelope with my knowledge and experience to my advantage as the last years of my life unfold.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We only employ the artists in the industry that are very talented,we also fly in World Famous Guest artists every summer. We also pride ourselves with our own unique designs that are award winning.We specialize in custom designed pieces and not typical flash studio,we like to interpret the individuals idea in another expression of design that is not worn by another person. Johnny Jackson is the most publicized and has won the most awards of any other artist in Houston.. He happens to be the owner as well and sells fine art of his tattoo design paintings as well as clothing and product design. We only want to give out the cleanest tattoos and be the biggest thing happening in one studio. Huge 3000 sf studio with 8 stations and a piercing shop inverted inside and wraps around the tattoo studio to blend the atmosphere and enhance each clients experience being so close to each element insdide the studio.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One now and who knows what tomorrow brings
