John Paul II Catholic School was established in 1988 as a private independent Catholic School. The School is a registered, non-profit corporation in the state of Texas with a corporate Board of Directors. John Paul II opened with fifty-six students in Pre-Kindergarten through third grade in the fall of 1988. Today enrollment is over 700 in grades Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. The school is a two time recipient of the US Department of Education's Blue Ribbon Award. Only .05 percent of all private schools in the US have received the Blue Ribbon more than once.
