I used Chev's catering on a few occasions and generally did not have problems. However, when I had a large lunch and needed catering for 35, the jerk chicken was always suggested. However on the day of the event I ran out of food when only 25 people had eaten. I called the owner and told her about running out of food and was not apologized to. Instead I was given excuses for how it probably happened and everyone including the attendees at lunch was blamed. I usually arrive at an office shortly after the food to sit and have lunch with the office, but was told that I should probably arrive sooner to ensure that doesn't happen. That day I arrived only 2 people had already gotten food, but that somehow equates to me badly monitoring and those people took enough food for 10 people not to eat. Either way, I PERSONALLY was now blamed for 10 people not eating. She contacted me later about further business and I felt a credit or something should be done for the situation and nothing was offered. I was instead blamed once again and told that I should pick better meats that would feed everyone. I have never ran out of food for an office and it was utterly embarrassing. If I order food for 35 it should not matter what the meat is, it should feed that many. Especially since I paid 10.95 a person and the food provided was not enough to feed that many, I saw myself. I would not recommend this business strictly on the basis of bad customer service and the risk that all your guest may not be fed. I have spent over $1000 with her over multiple events and this was how I was treated. No real apology, only excuses and pointing the finger. Then nothing done to make it right. I would never treat a customer (especially a recurring customer) this way. Will never be using them again.
