How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I worked for a successful internet based Houston apartment locating firm for a year prior to launching my own site. I felt like I could do a better job than my previous employer.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
70% of renters search online first when in the market for a new apartment, so new apartment locating sites are going live all the time, but only a select few are actually helpful. Most sites only offer traditional apartment locating services were they do not list the apartment name or any contact information besides their company's info. Reason being, they want users to contact them first instead of the property to ensure they close the deal. This is a waste of time for prospective renters browsing online for apartments. It also forces them into contacting the locator company and submitting personal information, which isn't bad or anything, unless you are like me and enjoy doing things on your own every once in awhile. ApartmentNinjas.com offers traditional apartment locating services to those who request it as well as an extensive searchable online database of apartments with contact information, driving directions, and more for those who don't want to deal with a locator.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One primary location, which is in south Austin, but we serve all major Texas metro markets. Apartment Ninjas plans to have an office in each city served by mid 2011.

What type of payments do you accept?
None. Our service is 100% free. We actually offer a generous $150 cash rebate to clients who write "Apartment Ninjas" down on their lease application as the reason for leasing.
Which areas do you service?
Greater Austin, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio, TX. We have access to every apartment community in the State of Texas, so if need be, we can assist clients in any city.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Rick Pickett is the owner. Licensed Real Estate Agents run daily operations.
